On December 10, 2024, the BIAS Project (Mitigating Diversity Biases of AI in the Labour Market) and the DIVERSIFAIR Project (Diversify with Intersectionally FAIRer Artificial Intelligence) hosted a highly engaging webinar titled “Intersectional Fairness in AI: Legal Frameworks, Tools, and Learning Opportunities.”
With an impressive 683 professionals registered, the event featured world-renowned experts from multiple disciplines, offering a deep dive into the intersection of AI, ethics, and legal frameworks.
The webinar emphasized intersectionality—the concept that overlapping social identities contribute to both privilege and discrimination—and explored key questions surrounding fairness in AI-driven recruitment.
