This course, developed as part of a Horizon Europe project, is the result of cutting-edge interdisciplinary scientific research and multistakeholder co-creation. It provides an open space for learning, dialogue, and collaboration—at no cost to participants.
This dynamic Capacity-building program explores the complex role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within Human Resources Management, focusing on its potentials and challenges. Through interactive modules, participants will gain essential knowledge and skills to:

  • Understand and mitigate gender and diversity bias with an intersectional perspective
  • Navigate the ethical considerations of AI
  • Develop a critical thinking approach to human-machine interaction in the AI applied to workplace domains

Our course curriculum and content are shaped by the cutting-edge research from the Horizon Europe BIAS project, developed by a multidisciplinary team of leading scholars and professionals in AI, Science and Technology Studies, Law, and Adult Learning.

Training methodologies 🛠️

The training will draw on the latest insights from the BIAS project, using interactive and participatory adult learning methods, including:

  • Case study analysis: Real-world examples highlighting the challenges faced by minority groups in AI applications for recruitment and beyond
  • Self-reflection exercises: Opportunities for participants to examine personal biases and privileges
  • Practice sessions: Hands-on exercises, featuring interactions with AI-based tools and programming (for AI specialists), to reinforce learning and build practical skills.

  • Language: Sessions will be conducted in English.
  • Schedule: Consult each country’s page for updates on local sessions’ dates and venues.
  • Format: 2 sessions of 3 hours each will be held online, in person or in a blended mode, depending on the country.
  • Certificate: A certificate will be issued to participants after the completion of the course.
